LUXWALL - DETROIT, MI

In the shadows of the new Gordie Howe Bridge, this building is about to be finished and will be home to Luxwall Glass, which manufactures insulated glass units that provide an R-18 insulation value. This building will serve as the headquarters for Luxwall and was supported partially through funding from the Department of Energy.

This project includes an interior truck dock to allow for sheltered offloading of the glass, where it will be removed by crane and placed in a storage queue. From there it goes to the glass cutting line where it is broken down to the prescribed size and fused through a proprietary process. There are two processing lines planned for the final steps to infuse the gases, seal the units and make ready for shipping. This project is about to be completed and ready for the tenant.

This project is currently pursuing LEED certification and is expected to be LEED Silver.
